Surgeons Get Sweet On Honey To Heal Wounds

Bee Product Never Spoils, Reduces Inflammation

The supermarket may provide something that can help surgical wounds heal, according to a new review.

Researchers from the North West Wales National Health Service Trust say that patients should ask their doctors about putting honey on wounds to speed healing and fight infection.Dr. Fasal Rauf Khan said honey was an ancient treatment for wound healing, and that it never spoils. But when effective antibiotics came into use in the 1940s, honey was dropped.

"Honey has a number of properties that make it effective against bacterial growth, including its high sugar content, low moisture content, gluconic acid — which creates an acidic environment — and hydrogen peroxide. It has also been shown to reduce inflammation and swelling," he said.

Researchers have also reported that applying honey can be used to reduce amputation rates among diabetes patients.Studies have suggested that honey should be applied at regular intervals, from hourly to twice daily and that wounds can become sterile in three to 10 days.

"It is probably even more useful for healing the wounds left by laparoscopic surgery to remove cancers," Khan said.

He also said honey could gain favor because of concerns about pathogens gaining resistance to antibiotics.

I just received a surprise gift from lubby dubb kanina.. kinilig naman ako♥. haha.  natuwa ako at may ibibigay pala xa sa akin. Surprise gifts never failed to melt my heart♥. haha. how sweet lang na binigyan niya ako ng Ducky..haha. ang sabi ko pa naman dati..gusto ko ng rubber ducky.para may kasabay ako maligoÖ..sa timba ko nga lang ilalagay kasi hindi nmn ako gumagamit ng bath tub.ahha. Ö hindi niya cguro naisip na yun ang ibigay sakin. dahil bastos daw ang rubber ducky. at swerte pa.haha  so he gave me a stuffy Ducky instead. sooooOooOo. cute!at pinabanguhan niya pa ng pabango niya. Mabango ang pabango niya proven by xiang yun. ü nakaka adik kaya.. natutuwa lang talaga ako. cute kaya. kiss nga ako ng kiss sa ducky e..e pinangalanan ko nga.ang una kong naisip ay harvey din.. naisip ko na harvey junior kaya?! gay penguins

A zoo in Germany has scrapped its plans to break up homosexual penguin couples after gay rights groups protested against it.

The Bremerhaven Zoo had noticed that three penguin couples turned out to be all male. In an attempt to encourage the penguins to reproduce the zoo had flown in four female penguins.

Gay groups had earlier protested against "the organized and forced harassment through female seductresses" in an open letter to Bremerhaven's Mayor.

Nag search ako.and it's really true that Homosexuality in penguins are true.

Is it true that there are homosexual penguins ?

Yes, it is a behavior sometimes observed in zoo animals. There was a famous case at the NY zoo of two males taking turns caring for a fake egg, then given a real one and successfully raising a family. The children book And Tango Makes Three recounts this true story.

It's hard to tell if this happens in the wild as it's usually impossible to tell the difference between male and female visually. Note that many different animal species can exhibit homosexual behavior, so very far from the fundamentalist views that 'homosexuality is against nature'.

  Penguins can only have one mate, they spend almost half of their life looking for their destined partner, then spend the rest of it with him/her. hope that you'll find your penguin someday.

 Sweet! ayun.. nagulat talaga ako nung nabasa ko na may gay na penguins.. pero matagal ko nang sinasabi na hindi ako agaiunst sa homosexual.hindi dahil isa ako dun..oi. hindi. Im a straight woman. naks. woman talaga. yung txt message is a wish to find their own penguin someday.. e knowing that there are homosexual penguin.. it also says siguro na even homosexual can find their destined partners and be true to their mate.. and can spend the rest of their life with them. And they can survive by adopting other peoples egg.. ay, este baby. and ayun.. they'll survive.
